I just purchased 48126S drive. BIOS, OS and Nero recognized it as 48246S with SID1 firmware. Does that mean that Liteon it Corp. overclocks drives? But what they gain if they are selling it as 48126S?
Read that firmware and send it to me.
Find more info here: http://liteon.notrix.net
That firmware has a format I’ve never seen before, so send it to Dyzan please
To answer your question, yes, they OC their drives. And you were very lucky to get something faster than what you purchased
Guys, there’s nothing very exciting about this firmware. It is sold on OEM drives from what I’ve heard. Having this firmware means that you cannot upgrade your drive to SS09 with the utility from liteonit.com since SID1 is not in the accepted range.
Download it [here](http://home.wi.rr.com/dhc017/OEM LTR-48246S SID1.zip).
Yes, But you can change firmware if you want, with mtkflash.exe.
