I’ve just installed a Liteon DVDRW SOHW 1633S but when I play a DVD on it the sound quality is poor and it lags behind the picture. When I play a CD the sound is fine. I know very little about computers so this may be a very simple problem, but because of that I haven’t even got as far as burning anything. I have a 902MHZ Processor, 320MB of RAM, a new 40GB HDD, and Windows XP Professional Version 2002. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so can someone help me solve it? Thanks, Dave.
Probably it’s not using hardware decoding. Check your settings on the player. Also check task manager to make sure the cpu is not being used at 100%
Possibly make sure your sound drivers are up-to-date??
I also bought the Lite-On 1633s DVD < Mine plays fine with picture and sound
