Liteon Cd Drives

I HAVE RECENTLY TRIED TO CONVERT A DOWNLOADED MOVIE FRON DIVX TO DVD. HOWEVER IT DIDNT COPY IT AS I THOUGHT I WOULD. MY REAL QUESTION IS AFTER DOING THIS MY PC DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY INTERNAL CD ROM (NON-RECORDABLE0 OR MY EXTERNAL DVD BURNER/PLAYER CONNECTED TO USB. I GET A YELLOW EXCLAMATION MARK IN DEVICE MANAGER. BOTH OF THESE DRIVES ARE MADE BY LITE-ON, INTERNAL IS LTR-24102M AND THE EXTERNAL IS A SHW-1635S USB. IT SAYS THE DRIVERS ARE NOT INSTALLED, BUT I WENT TO LITE-ON’S SITE AND THOSE DRIVER WON’T WORK BECAUSE IT DOES NOT SEE THE CD ROM DEVICES. IN FACT I COULDN’T EVEN FIND THE EXACT DRIVER FOR THE INTERNAL CD ROM THE CLOSEST I FOUND TO THE LTR-24102M WAS A LTR-24102B. I TRIED USING MY ORIGINAL DRIVER DISKS AND EVERY THING I COULD THINK OF.
IF ANYONE COULD POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT.
YOU CAN CONTACT ME BY EMAIL IF YOU WISH. (edit: see profile for details or use PM please - imkidd57)

You have approximately 30 minutes to edit your post.

  1. Remove your e-mail address. People can contact you via private messages. You are inviting spam by posting your address.
  2. Don’t type in all caps as it is considered shouting.

Remove the upper and lower filters, reboot, then try again.
If this doesn’t work, remove the IDE channels, reboot, then try again.

Your drives don’t need drivers.
