LiteOn CD-Burner

I had a problem with my CD-Burner (type LTR-52327S … I think) and tried to update my driver. But onfortunately it seemed I downloaded Firmware and flashed it.
Now I have to disable my CD-Rom and CD-writer in the BIOS (disable secondary IDE-controller) because otherwise, after booting my Windows XP the system goes down (it always tells there is some new hardware detected). Probably my PC expects a DVD-burner while I don’t have one on that PC.
Can anyone help me to find a solution to find the software to use to replace the flashed firmware + an explanation for how to remove the flashed firmware.

Here is the firmware you need: http://dhc014.rpc1.org/indexOEM.htm
Just look for your burner and download the firmware.bin-file. Then you have to enable your drive in BIOS and flash it with mtkflash in real DOS mode (create a bootdisk with firmware.bin an mtkflash for dos on it). After a correct flash your burner will be recognized correctly and works fine again. I tried it more than once - it works! Good luck!!!

thanks, but which one do I have to choose?

You can choose any of the firmwares for your liteon ltr-52327s that are downloadable in bin-file-format. The main thing is that you are able to reincarnate your burner with one of the firmwares. If it´s recognized by your windows os, you have won. After that, you can flash it with the latest liteon windows flasher for your drive and everything works well.
