I just bought the new liteon 1673 drive and would like to buy and try various media -R & +R.
So i found this site http://www.mediacenter.gr/catalog/default.php?cPath=66 that has a lot of dvd-+R types.
Can anybody make me a list of good -R & +R media (that this site has) to try???

Thanks in advance

Anything else other than verbatim?

#5

verbatim is the best media, i use 8x and 16x (mcc003 and 004) discs.
philips is good, too. but they often change MID.

I can confirm both. MCC rocks
I learned that Philips labels RICOHJPN, PHILIPSC08, PHILIPS081, INFOME and CMC MAG - all for 8x DVD+R media!

Retired my 1633s for the 1673s and I am getting lots better burns with it. Even got a brand new ND-3520a which I am totally disappointed with. This burn was at 8x (have no 16x media yet).!

There’s difference between mine’s and “yours”. Mine are DMR47N2, but the enlarged picture show’s that “your’s” are DMR47.
You can see it if you look on bottom-left on the picture.

I use the Lite-On 1633s and my partner has the updated 1673s, both are very compatible with Traxdata dvd-r x8 blank discs, and I have burnt upwards of 350 discs using this media. Try the link below for compatibility guide for most burners with this disc. http://www.traxdata.com/media/Compatibility_Guides/Traxdata_DVD-R_Compatibility_Guide.pdf
Also read reviews on this disc at CDR-Zone.com, for both the Dvd-r and Dvd+r
at cdr-zone click Reviews and then DVD Media Reviews, hope you find this helpfull.
P.S. I get my discs from www.dvdshoponline.co.uk or www.disccity.co.uk
