Liteon 1633 and mcc 03 media at 12x?

well i bought some verbatim 8x media says that will work at 12x with 12x hardware, does it write good at that speed, or will i see errors. i burnt this media at 8x with my btc with a 94 score in qulity

also i would be changing thw write descriptions is why i ask

Usually MCC003 (Verbatim 8x branded media) does not burn at 12x in the Liteon. If you were to try, you would have to switch the MCC003 strategy to the MCC004 strategy using OmniPatcher. Make sure you try an 8x burn first to see how that works. Let us know your results in this thread...

I made a 16x burn on MCC003 using MCC004 strategy with my 1653S that is within specs and fully readable. MMC003 strategy did not work well with 16x after the first third of the disc, but MCC004 strategy had most problems before the first third, but still within specs.

Lately I have found that the new CS0C leads to coasters with MCC003 even at 8x, so I suggest you you CS09 with Omnipatcher.

sorry,

well i burned a few on my liteon at 8x with not the best results to even start out,

seems like my lite on cant really burn a good disc that comes out good in the scans, but they work fine tho

well i will burn a few more then try giving it the 04 writew strag

i will burn one real quick and post the scan

EDIT

also should it being the slave drive make a effect? i mean i know it shouldnt, but i got my btc master and the liteon slave

would i see a differnce if i change those around?

I'd try removing the BTC drive and making the Liteon master, just to see if it's any better. Also you haven't said what firmware you are using. Try BS41 and see how that works with your MCC003. You can get it from my site (see my signature).

thats what i am using the bs41 from ur site

also, i didnt save the scans, but not very good, kprobe and nero show slight differnces but about the same which is bad, well about 70 percent qulity

i will take the btc out and see how that works later on
