Liteon 16102B doesn't work anymore with Nero/CDRWin but does with CloneCD :/

Someone know how I can fix this (read topic)?

About CDRwin, it gives an error message:

About Nero, it first says that there are no cd burners found:

and after that he starts bitching about no permissions to burn:

Does anyone know how I can fix this? I can read files with it, and I can burn with CloneCD but not with Nero and CDRwin, which makes me think that perhaps CCD uses own drivers instead of the systemdrivers?
Some relevant systeminformation:

Asus A7V266-e Mobo
Lite-on 16102B with latest firmware
Asus 50x CD-ROM drive
WinXP running with all the latest patches installed (I remember a patch for burning CDR’s in WinXP  perhaps that’s the one causing all the trouble)

Haven’t installed it yet. It worked correctly before so I didn’t install it…

Somebody help me ?

Reinstall CDRWin with ASPI or Nero…
I think you need ASPI driver.
CloneCD works because has a “personal” access to CDR (ElbyCDIO)

You are logged in as Administrator or as an user account ?

If you are logged in as the Admin, i would try to reinstall aspi and nero.
(you can get a aspi driver that installs on every pc over here: http://www.geocities.com/ddumpfrontend/ )

If you are logged in as an user without admin rights login as admin OR change the policies so that normal users have the right to use the cdwriter

I tried reinstalling 5.5.40 but it didn’t help :frowning:
Just downloaded the newest version, and voila, it works!
Thanks m8, very much appreciated!

Yup I was logged in as admin, and now I copied the Nero new Aspi to win/system32 and now CDRwin and Nero work fine!
