One nice feature for Liteon would be a small driver/utility to enable/disable a ‘Legacy Audio CD support’, i.e. treat any CD (regardless of content) that’s inserted as a standard single session Audio CD. If they can do this, their drives would have the ability to read any Audio CD regardless of the Copy Protection (assuming it could play in a typicaly Hi-Fi).

I look forward to a combo drive with 8x DVD+RW/DVD+R/DVD-RW/DVD-R/52xCD+RW/52xCD-R/52x CD read/16xDVD-ROM(at least). All at a reasonable price and good reliability with media brands.

LiteON rocks… good job ,keep going, you guy

Yep, I have a LiteOn 52/24/52 and it kicks ass. No more Plextors for me.

Hey Lite-On, if you have any problems meeting that 40 million goal, I’d be happy to accept a few million shipped to me, gratis of course.
