Lite-On iHES208-8 read speed patch?

I just ordered a iHES208-8 from Newegg for $50 shipped. I see talk of a read speed patch for BR media but I can’t find a patched firmware or a method of doing so my self.

Any help appreciated

Download firmware 8L08 or 8L09, then use Media Code Speed Edit to speedpatch (“increase read speed”) the firmware.
