Lite-on dvd-rw drive problems

vbimport

#1

well I baught a lite-on dvd-rw drive not to long ago and it came with nero 6.3.1.26 and I also use dvd shrink 3.2 to rip the video before burning… its a copy protected video im trying to rip, it rips fine to my computer without any problems but its in the burning process it messes up… I also tryed using dvd crypter with it aswell but that didnt seem to work… im not %100 on computers so if anyone can help me, could you explain it more detailed and maybe a walk through of how to fix it? it would be greatly appreciated…

This is the process i usually go through to try and burn the audioslave dvd, mind you this is the only dvd i’ve tried so far…

#2

1st please don`t crosspost with the same problem.
2nd liteons can be fussy about media try using some quality +R, like maxell, ty, or verbatims.
3rd burning @2x on a 16x burner is not nessesary, get some good 8x media and burn at 6x or 8x.

#3

sry about posting it twice it won’t happen again, if it doesnt work i’ll get back to you. thnx much.

#4

no probs

also to test your burnt disc use kprobe to do a blur test at 4x and do a transfer rate test with nero cd speed (prefebly a drive that can read to 16x).

#5

hey, thnx much man, turns out it was my media the whole time, before i had some unlabled noname discs and now i got ridata dvd-r and so far i’ve burnt 3 successful movies, goonies, audioslave, and viva la bam… thnx for all your help!!

#6

That specific media might work well with it, but in general, ako is right, liteons work beter with + meida. The brands that he listed are very good.

#7

one of the golden rules of dvd burning is crap in = crap out
