So I have an hp AMD Sempron desktop and it came with a CD-Writer/DVD-ROM Combo Drive in it. I've had it for a few years now.
So recently I've had problems getting it to identify blank CD-R Discs like when I record music to them and stuff.
Ex. I will try to burn music files onto a cd, then I put in a blank cd and it will try to read it/recognize it, then after about ten seconds it will spit it back out and ask for a blank disc.
I've put in DVD movies, and it reads those fine.
Cd's i've already put music on will be read fine.
It's just the task of recognizing blank ones and writing them that's the problem.
Every like 40 tries it will identify one, and write it with success.
And sometimes it'll recognize them and begin writing, but will fail after about ten seconds of writing and ruin the disc and say there was an error.
So I'm devastated.
I've tried HP discs and memorex.
Can anyone give me any thorough help? Please?
I would seriously appreciate it immensely
