First download two tools:
It is best to use the following tools in Windows “Safe Mode”, so after downloading to a convenient location on your PC, boot into Safe Mode.
First, use the EEPROM Utility and make a backup of your EEPROM. This is important in case anything goes wrong in using LtnRPC. The backup can restore the EEPROM back to its previous state.
After making the backup, run LtnRPC. It should recognize your Lite-On drive.
Press Query first and it will inform you of the present RPC state of the drive.
The other options available to you should be obvious.
If you need more details, visit the Lite-On Sub-forum of CDFreaks.
Note: If your drive is still under warranty using these tools will void the warranty. Also, these tools are for Lite-On drives only.
