Lite-On 165P6S MS0C

This came with firmware MS05 but failed to recognise some media (YUDEN000T03, Panasonic 3x DVD-RAM) so I immediately updated to MS0C. Strangely CD/DVD Speed reports that disc was burnt with a Sony!

Plextor branded YUDEN000T03 burned with Prassi ONES 2.0.323 at 12x.

seems like it needs to go through a few more firmware revisions.

Tried to see what I can do with this media, I don’t have any TY T03 to test.

MAXELL002 burned at 6x with Imgburn.

Pansonic branded TYG02 burned with Imgbrurn at 6x. Much better than the earlier scan with the same media.

The scans look real nice.
I’d die to see a DVD-RAM, though.

O.K. here you go… :iagree:

Now with new firmware MS0F. No longer reporting burns as being by a Sony.

YUDEN000T03 with Imgburn at 8x.

Thanks! I’m quite impressed by this scan, comparing it to all the previous burns of DVD-RAM, it’s like heaven and hell.

The MCC03RG20 burned at 16x is just pure sweetness. And it’s a DVD-R!

CodeKing has suggested that we scan at 8x with the Liteon 5S and 6S drives. Doing so would save you a lot of time, and the results should still be valid…

A scan of the same MAXELL002 disc earlier in the thread but this time at 8x

new MS0F firmware. MAXELL002 burned at 8x with ONES, tested at 8x.
