Since I got my new lap top I cant back up my DVD’s anymore. I use Any DVD and DVD shrink. VISTA is on new lap top and it seems to have an issue with DVD shrink. Any suggestions of what to do or what I could use instead? much thanks.
DVDShrink works fine in Vista. I’ve used it in both the 32 and 64 bit editions.
What error are you getting?

yep works perfectly fine here too on vista 64b
I open shrink and it does the analysis fine then when I click on “re-author” (cuz I dont like the previews on there) I get a message from windows that says “dvd shrink 3.2 has stopped working and windows is checking for a solution” and it gets stuck there and I have to close the program.
someone said I should try a firmware update? what do you think?
Uninstall DVDShrink. Then reinstall from a known good download, like the one here at cdfreaks or at mrbass.org. To get to the download here at cdfreaks, just click on DVDShrink in my first sentence.
Try ripping to the hard drive using the built in ripper in AnyDVD. Right click the fox icon and rip to the hard drive as files. Then try Shrink on these files on the hard drive.
