Thanks to all for their investigative work in finding these rebadged BenQ jewels.

With all the drive models out there that actually contain one of these Benq drives, this list is presented to help anyone to more easily obtain one of these legendary burners and scanners.

We are grateful to our members Jadburner, Negritude, Ibex, and Pinto2 for assembling and updating this list and many other members who have contributed to it. Special thanks to Jadburner and Negritude for their dedication in keeping it updated.

Our member Parato Optimal has put together a great spreadsheet to help identify BenQ rebadges that can be found here.

If you are not already a member, please join our community and share your own comments, information, or questions about BenQ rebadges with us here.

If you have found a stash of BenQ or rebadged drives, or finally just got your hands on one, please join us and let us know about it here. :flower:

Please read the cautions at the bottom of the page carefully for any drive models listed with asterisk(s)

[1]* Be EXTREMELY careful before crossflashing the Sony 810 series drives! You can kill this drive with an incorrect flash! See here for flashing information. Make sure you know if you have a DW1640 or DW1650 before attempting to crossflash! You must learn from the label on the drive itself inside the USB enclosure if it is an 810A(DW1640) or an 810A-R(DW1650)

[2]** The DVD8881 can NOT be crossflashed with any BenQ or Philips firmware! Do NOT attempt it unless you want to destroy the drive!

[3]*** These are non-BenQ drives that use a Nexperia chipset. They can NOT be flashed with any BenQ or Philips firmware! Do NOT attempt it unless you want to destroy the drive!

[4]**** These drives do NOT use the classic Philips Nexperia chipset and can NOT perform or only emulate the classic BenQ functions! They are listed for completeness purposes only, so you know what to avoid! Do NOT buy them!
