Linux Foundation hit with security breach, shuts down several sites.

It's also susceptible to malware and cyber attacks. The Linux Foundation, a non-profit group comprised of proponents and developers who wish to see the open source system flourish, has shut down key sites following a malware-related security breach.

It appears from the painfully uniforming blog posting, that the hack came through via the server or servers that provide access to dev persons. Linux is a good system, it offers better security options than Windows but like any other system is not IMMUNE to being hacked. It is not clear from the blog posting the nature of the breach…
