Please try scanning at 5x in the future since results may look quite a lot better.

Not necessarily. Scans on my 3540 at 16x are much better than those at 5x. But Pulsee scanned on a LiteOn drive. So he could only use 4x instead of 8x, but I think for comparison 8x should be fine too.

Hey Dee, I hate to bother you, but I just got this batch of OPTODISC R16 (000) which are pretty bad with the stock 3.07. They are completely unreadable at 12x or 16x… At 8x they are not bad, PIE a little high though.

Anyways, is 2.U5 using a strategy different than stock?
