LG rolls out 77-inch flexible OLED TV

LG unveiled a 77-inch flexible OLED TV at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show on Monday, in tandem with competitor Samsung’s own buzzworthy bendable TV announcement.

The new LG television lets users adjust the angle of a TV screen with a remote control, switching the viewing from a flat screen to a curved screen. The result, LG hopes, is an appealing and tailored viewing experience.

I thought LG was crap though?

My first thought was a roll-up TV that can be put away, rolled-up like a projector screen.

On the other hand, maybe one day that’s how 60"+ TVs will come.

After seeing that Demo at the CES several years ago where someone was running an OLED through the paper path of a printer…

I was picturing that it wouldn’t be a horrible stretch of the imagination for people to
sell large TV’s rolled up in a cardboard tube with metal edge strips to hold it flat against a wall.
