Can anyone please help me crack the code for a LG RH298H DVD RECORDER to make it region free for me.

turn power on
open dvd tray
press home on remote
select setup
scroll down to padlock
enter 0000000
confirm
Worked for me so should work for you

Question: why do you need to make it “region free”? doesn’t it play and record multi-format and multi-zone? (please help too - I am thinking of buying this machine from my friend)… many thanks.

Also, is there any way to copy movie / contents from the DVD drive onto the HDD?
