I have a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4120B LG device which is attached to a PC that is running on Windows XP home edition
The machine is about 1 year old up to very recently I have had very few problems. However vitually out the blue the PC no longer recognizes that I have any form of disk in the drive.
It all started when the device decided it did not like CD's that were formatted on another computer and just started trashing them (saying error on disk re-format) etc etc.
Now I am in the situation where I cannot install any new software as the CD/DVD software is not recognized
I have been to 'Tip & fixes' http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/tip_fixes.htm ,but with no luck
I was running the software that came with the device NERO and InCD
Can any one help (OR AM I GOING HAVE TO REINSTALL XP)
Oh my god (I thought I had got away from this after 98)
If you ever want anything tested give it to me cause I can break it XP UNIX LINUX MAC it does not matter
