LG GSA-H22N freezes at 16x with nero

Hy recently bought a GSA-H22N LG hopping to burn faster , but it is not the case, i’m using Verbatin DVD-R 16x dvd’s my burner is set has Secondary Slave, my PC is a dimension 3100 2.8ghz and using nero 6.6.0.12, when trying to burn at 16x the burner stops flashing , the light is off, the door can’t open, and Nero is froozen at about 30% but the time in nero continues.
If a burn at 8x it works but not at 12x or 16x, then same dvd’s works on another model of LG GSA-4163b at 16xwith nor problem setup the same way Secondary master but on a slowwer system p3-700.

Does anyone have a clue?

Hi and welcome!

just some questions hoping to help sorting the problem.

  • is there a secondary master present, and is that drive jumpered correctly? Dell likes setting all drives to “Cable Select”
  • make sure, you are using an 80 wired IDE cable for connecting the drive

In addition, you can run the benchmark test from Nero CD/DVD Speed with a full disc and post the screenshot here.

update to the latest version of Nero 6 : 6.6.1.4.
