I hev upgraded the Firmware of the drive to the latest rev. and also tried other burning software. Please help.

#2

IDE DVD Writers were only made to operate on an actual IDE interface, not some sort of IDE -> USB setup. It is not surprising that it failed.

#3

If you are running a USB 2 connection it should work. I have similar problems from time to time with my LG drive. You might try burning at a slower speed.

#4

Hi,
Thanks for you help. I tried it with x4 speed and the same problem occurs. How do you normally burn, Do you use nero. Its not a enclosure i got just a cable and a external power supply. Do you have any fixes.

#5

Hard to say as you are using some different equipment. I would have to guess there is something wrong with your adapter, your power supply, or your USB connection. Are you sure it is USB2?
