I think I found a list, it’s in Japenese so maybe some-one who speaks Japanese can help us out and confirm it?

Hmmmmm, looks more like korean, doesn’t it?

#7

my dedicated page for 4120 got some media info and burn results
http://geocities.com/raygay27/lg4120/index.htm

recently burnt a SMARTBUY 8X DVD+R (PRODISC oem). gd results as well.

That’s my site and it’s in Korean. I introduced the compatibility lists here:

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=96209

You don’t need any knowledge of the Korean-language in order to understand what media works at what speed in the tables because things like 4x and ricohjpnr02 are English and common Arabic numbers.

Hi Kenshin,

nice table indeed, but unfortunately it only hints at what speed media can be written, but nothing about the quality/readability afterwards.

However, I know this is difficult to measure quality without high-end equipment. I wished german magazine c’t would make a whole magazine full of those AudioDev scans…

Jackie

Tell them to sell the equipment necessary to test the quality to me. At used price I’d really like.

I heard it costs about US$30,000 but the ones used by c’t might cost more than that.

Firmware: A102
GSA-4120B

Pretty Shocking!

#12

Best so far!

#13

The FUJIFILM03 has bad playback on SAP, gives bad blocks, and lines and funny colours.

Nice one on your list Kenshin you beat me to it! Should have guessed the site is Korean - it has a .kr!

#14

That’s the worst scan result I’ve seen so far with disks burned with GSA-4120B. Are they real Fujifilm OEM?

I wonder what will happen if media companies suddenly all start producing DL media only when many of them cannot make proper SL media yet. I mean, Verbatim DL media quality is better than that.

#15

I should have said the FUJIFILM03 are datawrite greytop 8x minus R.

The Prodisc R03 are datawrite yellow 8x DVD+R.
