#2

The latest version Flash Utility and EEPROM Utility do not work with this Drive.

#3

The Drive can perform disc quality test but can not report jitter.

Amazing quality  Is that some old made in Japan stock you still have?

Surprises, surprises: Only 1.5 MB of buffer instead of the regular 2 MB, is LG trying to cut costs even more?
And the fact that it uses a Mediatek chipset…

Hasn’t hit the German store shelves yet, anyway. But nice to see that LG DVD burners can finally do disc quality tests. They are the last brand to introduce this feature.
Hi kg,

who told you that?
Well 2601 said that, “The Drive can perform disc quality test but can not report jitter.”

Pioneer, NEC/Optiarc, etc. all have introduced this function sooner or later (although they were not that popular). Wonder whether it will be possible with the next LG Renesas and Panasonic devices as well.

#17

True, I missed that line. Thanks.

Uh, that doesnt sound good. Is it really a drive specific issue or not?

What does such a disc cost in reality?
