I just bought the NS50 myself, and will fit it alongside an IDE LiteOn this afternoon or tomorrow…will do a bit of testing if you’re still interested (I know this thread is 3 weeks old now).

So far, it’s not spectacular, even with Verbatim MCC004 (made in India) or YUDEN000 T02.

I’ll add some scans to this thread as I do them - as I’m putting the drive through its paces, seeing how it burns different MIDs anyway :slight_smile:

First test:

Sony branded SONYD11 (made in Austria) burned at 8x.

About what I’d usually expect with this stuff, given that the rest of the pack burned similarly on other drives. PIE slightly elevated, but that seems to be one of this drive’s “quirks”.
