Thanx for the review!

Just want to report one typing error, on test of LTH disc, it is said “A perfect transfer rate up to 8x.”, when picture shows up to 6x.

Why are you displaying the CD burn results for an Optarc drive?

Thank you zivija.
I’ll try to fix it as soon as i can, but i will be very happy if this is the only error that i have to fix.

Hi OldNewb.
All myce (cdfreaks) CD-R scans and TRT test are made with an OPTIARC drive, and so far the results are very reliable. I could use my BENQ, but i cant find it (i am moving to a new apartment and all my ODD’s are inside closed boxes)

EAC has problems with slowness with blu-ray drives (messages in EAC forum are posted all the time) and it’s still not resolved

Don’t use ODC 1.51
Program don’t show medicode.(1.50 ok)

#7

You give it an excellent even thought it failed to burn Blu-ray discs at 12x?

As I’ve said in the past, you need to focus more on the BD writing performance. That’s why people are going to buy a drive like this.

Great review. Thanks for putting this together.

is this drive the same as LG WH12LS30K or a new model ? 'cuz just bought the later one :o

btw thnx for the great review.

I cant find the specification about this drive, but i think that it should be the same as the review drive.

#11

Just ordered this drive from NCIX let’s see if it is good, was considering the Liteon 12x from newegg but ncix offer free shipping + 10 Optodisc 4x BD-R + $15 gift card can’t turn down this deal.

Can someone clarify the HDTV recorder and 3d playback capability.

Can the BH10LS30 do it as well?

#15

For 3D you need a TV or Monitor that can display 3D. If your hardware can disply 3D then you wont have any problems.
Some info from cyberlink for 3D on PC

As far as i know this drive cant record directly from the TV, you need a TV tuner in your PC todo that, or a standalone blu-ray recorder.

Cool!

So the main difference between the drives is the speed 10X–> 12X.

Cheers.

@2601 & Two Degrees.
I moved 5 post here and we can continue posting your test results in a dedicated thread.

Were mentioned before, ANY BD drive can playback 3D titles, its just a question of the monitor attached…

Thanks for the review. IMHO, reviews of BR-RW drives should focus more on writing and reading performance of blu ray media and the conclusion should summarize the performance in this area. After all, that is the reason we buy this drive.

Will this drive allow me to rip the HTOA (Hidden Track One Audio)? I am looking for a new drive, since my current one will not rip HTOA and i am currently ripping all of my CDs into an mp3 library for my mp3 player, etc.

Is there a list of currently available drives that are HTOA capable?
