Hello all,

I’m planning to crossflash my new LG BH08LS20 (v1.0) with the latest speeedpatched Buffalo firmware EL02-05.

But I read somewhere that this Buffalo firmware is from March 2009 (??).

Is this possible? Now I’m afraid that I flash an much older firmware to my drive than my original V1.0 firmware is…

Can somebody tell me if the 02-05 Buffalo firmware is really newer (and therefore better) than the original LG 1.0 firmware?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have recently cross flashed my BH08LS with this firmware and speed patch.
Quite happy with it. Verification is so much quicker now as well as coping of DVD and BD disks. I have written few BD-R25, BD-R50, BD-RE25 and BD-RE50 with no problem and they verified so much qicker!

Yes, that’s why I wanna do it too, faster verify.

But I’ve checked again and the filedate of the Buffalo 02-05 firmware is March 30 2009 (!). And the included textfiles are from mid-April.

How can that be? I mean, the LG BH08 BD-Burners just came out recently, right? So I suspect that the v1.0 firmware might be actually newer that the Buffalo one…

Bad :frowning: B(W)H08LS20 with the latest firmware release v.2.00-01 does not support writing BD-R DL 50GB 6x CMCMAGDI6 :frowning:

Lame! Buy better hardware if you need that.
