Hi, I just got a the LG 4120B OEM and installed it into my computer. It automatically found the drive and installed the drivers. When I went to Nero (Version 5.5.10) and tried to burn something, it stopped at 3% and gave me this error:

**Update: I tried to burn cd-rs and i also get the same error!

#2

Upgrade Nero burn to 6.x… should be fine after that.

#3

I had a little difference problem when I can write to DVD for about 4GB without any problem but wheneve up to the 4480MB it alway got an error.

#4

I upgraded to version 6.3.1 and i still get the communication error!

#5

Update: I got it to work in PIO mode but i heard pio is not very good and slow, is there a way to make it work in dma?

#6

Its ok, i fixed it. I needed 80pin cable verses the 40pin ide cable i was using. I got a focus or tracking error when i used the same ide cable with my harddrive so it is now in the second ide channel with an 80pin using dma mode. I am very satisfied with my burns now.

#7

I often got a “Focus and Tracking error” with my GSA-4120B too. Is this really help? How can I check my ide cable is 80pin or 40pin?
