Lexar has announced world’s first memory card with a capacity of 1 TB. It’s a Class 10 SD card with UHS-I and becomes part of Lexar’s Professional 633x series . The 633x series also contains SD cards with capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. The cards are intended for usage in cameras.

Why can’t it be in MicroSD so I can save up for one and put it into the Nintendo Switch.

I still remember being amazed about SD cards reaching the 1GB milestone.

Coincidentally, when SanDisk announced the world’s first 1GB SD card 15 years ago, it coincidentally also had a suggested retail price of $499.99.

Back then, memory cards didn’t have class speed ratings and the article didn’t mention it’s throughput capabilities either.

Give it another 15 years and I wouldn’t be surprised if the world’s first 1PB card is launched.

Problem is no one ever saw it in the WILD…
