Hey all,
I checked the liteon website and they said that
It only takes around 15 minutes to backup 4.7 GB data on a certified DVD+R/DVD+RW media at 4X
Would that be a correct statement ?

with 4x media yes
2.4x is not bad either is about 24-25 mins… about 5-7 mins less than 2x

Kinda correct, you can only backup 4.5GB of data on a DVDR.
Takes about 14 minutes at 4x
WHOA! i missed that
you can only get 4.39GB on dvd+r
its is 4.7 gb = 1000
NOT 4.7gb = 1024
which i think many people do not know till they get a drive and media… i think dvdr both + and - should show GB in 1024 on the box and they would say 4.39GB
One more Q, does it matter if it’s dvd-r or dvd+r when it’s in a standalone dvd player (non comp) ?
depends on your dvd player… check dvdrhelp.com
there is a whole section on media, dvdr, dvd player, capture cards… all kinds of things
Ahh will do,
thanks for the comments
