Latest Buffalo Firmware for Pioneer DVR-112L

Can some one tell me what the latest Buffalo FW is for the DVR-112L?

I think I currently have 8.21…

TIA

You don’t need it.

Download Pioneer DVR-A12J 1.24 and use MCSE to enable bitsetting.

Regards,
TerminalVeloCD

so we should flash the pioneer 112L with DVR-A12J 1.24
is MCSE part of this?

I can only find 1.22; where can i find a ink for this?

thanks

EDIT:
Ok I was able to get a copy of this thanks

What (besides DVD ROM bitsetting for DVD+R DL) makes this different than the Pioneer 112L 8.21 RPC1 DVD-RAM I currently have?

now I was having a problem with DVD+R DLs I was burning with this burner will this solve it?

Would you mind reading the stickies and other threads before asking what has been answered already??

And, please stop crossposting.

Yesterday i put 8.25 Buffalo on my DVR-112D.
I have 10 dvd+r for tests, 8.25 is the best firmware i ever seen, much better than 8.06, 8.09, 8.15.
Too bad that MCSE doesn’t recognized this firmware to increase rip speed and RPC1:D
But time will resolve that issue.

Enjoy this firmware, is damn good.:iagree::bigsmile:

Did you ever use 1.24? I have only done a few burns but I think this is better then 1.24, I wonder if this is more advanced?

Yes, i use 1.24 for A12J.

In my opinion firmware A12J 1.24 is better than buffalo firmware 8.25. Less PIE and PIF.

Just curious, with which burner/drive have you quality scanned the discs?

But why is it 8.25 and not 8.24? Is there a changelog somewhere that indicates the differences between 8.25 and 8.21?

I’d be asking how many burns on how many different kinds of media you did in each to come to a conclusion like this. Its a very broad brush to draw.

I burn on MCC004, Yuden T03, Optodisc OR8. Test on Benq DW-1650 and Plextor 760.

Yes but did you burn one of each with each firmware? Did you try different batches? I don’t think you can draw this kind of conclusion lightly, plenty of people say just what you are saying after burning one of each, which can simply be explained by a little variance in the media.

A12J firmware 1.24

Bufalo 8.25 firmware

I do many tests and in my opinion firmware A12J today is the best. Other tests soon.

Thanks plamar, nice burns/tests/scans.

Why am I getting “available target not found” when flashing to 8.25 from 8.21?? What’s the method?

Ok, I see, buffalo changed their web site. I dl’d the 112D version of 8.25. So the 112L 8.25 isn’t available yet?
