Hello,I have an old laptop Compaq n160 but I would like to connect CD-ROM (that helps to install Windows, etc.).Well, laptop:http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/7523/p1120225uj0.jpghttp://img102.imageshack.us/img102/3946/p1120226jy7.jpg
And there are 2 Teac CD-224E CD-ROMs with 2 different connectors:http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/7379/41399009eg3.jpghttp://img211.imageshack.us/img211/8986/39023776is4.jpghttp://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9561/39131605py6.jpg
Is there any possibility to connect it?
P.S. I'm not sure, if this thread is in the right forum place
Welcome to CD Freaks.
It looks like both drives can fit, but I could be missing something. Are those adapters in the last pictures?
I think, they are adapters because these CD-ROMs are kept from 2 old laptops. CD-ROMs are slim and have ide(?) connectors, but laptop has strange one. I have counted pins and they don’t match.
Just use the adapter from the original drive and install it on either of the ones you posted.
Doh That’s the point. I haven’t the original adapter. Where I could find it? It is an uncommon item.
