Laptops are more expensive than desktops because most of the individual components are more expensive. Why would Blu-Gay (sorry, couldn’t resist jumping on that bandwagon) drives have a smaller price gap between desktop and laptop versions than every optical format that came before it?

Optical drives seem to be less and less popular. If the ultramobile PC market is as popular as expected, then most laptops this year will be shipped without optical drives. No Blu-rape for me.

‘Laptop Blu-ray drives will be most popular’ Because no one will buy them as stand alones… The title is missing ‘Sony’ at the beggining…
