Language Interpretation

We have purchased items from overseas and they were received with setup instructions that are maybe in Portugese language. Efforts to get the instructions in English from the seller and Ebay have failed. Could someone please translate the text in my attachment to English ? Much thankful if you could.

I don’t read or speak Portugese .
I tried my OCR program but your paper isn’t square enough the the screen or flat enough to get more than half the words at best.
If I had been able to copy more I would have tried Google translate or one of the translation sites.
If you have a scanner I suggest you scan it in & save that to a .txt file.
You should then be able to copy & paste in to a translator site.

So you can see what I tried.
This is the OCR:

The problem is if the letters are at an angle the OCR doesn’t recognize them correctly. Even at best it usually doesn’t get everything but gets most.

I`m also having trouble being able to copy and paste it. I thought maybe internet being worldwide i might find someone who is Portugese.

I have a better copy of the language but it comes out in part when trying in an interpretation site. Attachments of clock (front and back) and copy link.newocr.com-20150907201754.txt:D

The translation sites didn’t do very well on the text.
What is the brand & model of this clock ?
Maybe I can find something on it.

“Color Digital LED Glowing Change Thermometer Nature Sound Clock Alarm”
Why they dont send the instructions in English clearly has got me beat, but they could be gobbyldygook too. Ive sent several messages to the dealer but ignored.:frowning:

I found the clock on ebay & Amazon but neither had a brand or model listed. I’m out of ideas . I guess it’s just going to be trying to figure it out for you. If you already have it.
I admit the clock looks cool but when a company doesn’t brand their products I"m always skeptical.

I have this clock & it’s cool too but a bit more expensive.
Moshi

BTW I saw several different sellers on ebay for the same clock.
None had any product information as far as name & model.
You might contact some of those & see if they have an English manual.
Probably would be a waste of time though. I think this clock may be purely generic.

Ebay lets this happen and it appears couldnt care less. The clocks are not expensive but i won`t buy there anymore.:smiley:

I don’t know if this will help.
This is the Amazon page:

This is the seller:Look-After-Yourself

On this page under Returns and Refunds there is a “Contact the seller”.
They may be willing to help. Overall it never hurts to ask.

Theres six buttons on the back, the two one on left and one on right are for sound, the four in between are, starting from the left..up-down-set-alarm. I had to trial and error to get success setting the time, but, setting the day/month/date i havent worked out yet.
Anyway id say theyre not worth buying as replacing batteries every two days wouldn`t be worth it. Thanks.

#11

I guess you would have to use rechargeable batteries .
Still changing them every two days would be a pain.

The Moshi clock I have uses 3 batteries but has a wall wart as well.
It runs off the wall wart & only uses the batteries for power failure.
I probably should check the batteries more often to make sure they aren’t leaking.

Theyre not worth buying as replacing batteries every two days wouldnt be worth it. I bought a new one for $8.00 at Kmart in Brisbane and it has plug in to power as well as batteries. If we have a power failure the clock reverts to the batteries. (we will get a refund from Ebay)

#13

Sounds like what I would do on getting the refund.
I thought you might be looking for a clock that had the lights & “white noise” sounds.

I almost never use those features on the Moshi.

What is nice is if you set it correctly it is totally dark.
This is nice for a dark bedroom at night.
Then it lights when you ask it what time it is.
After it tells you the time it goes dark again.
