About how many PI/PO errors does it take to start seeing slowdowns in dvd reading though? Is it safe to say that if one sees no slowdowns in reading that there will basically be no problems playing that disk in a standalone dvd player? [/B]
PI/PO = 280/32 for acceptable. Above that, anyones guess.
No. It depends on the components of that DVD player and the testing drive.
If they put in shite components, it's quite possible that it won't be able to play back those discs.
DVDroms in PC's tend to be relatively good readers.
However in standalone players, who knows what you get?
It might even come with a drive manufactured by pioneer
