Kprobe : Set Speed Limit?

I think that my 52327S has trouble scanning Verbatim DLP 16X at 52X speed.

The scan below shows that the C1 rates are very low until ~67 minute mark (where the read speed is above 48x, if I remember correctly). After the burner reads so many C2 errors, it slows back down to 32X to finish the scan. I think that if the scan was done at 32X/40X everything should be fine.

If I make a CD thats <67 minutes, the average C1 rate is about 0.2-0.3.

So, should I be concerned if the C2 errors disappear when scanned at 32X?

Scan @16x and the C2 are gone. Please note > Smart-Burn Speed Limit = Wrt(16X).
So read the dics the same way as it was written, don’t stress it in vain.

In theory, the drive is not supposed to slow in Kprobe, but complete the scan at the set speed. However, I can confirm that some drives do not behave this way during scans. It’s the drive, not Kprobe, that causes the issue.
The Azo discs are probably not up to 52x reading, so don’t worry about it, Suggest 40x scan speed for all media, as it seems to eliminate some of the high-speed quirks that drives and media have.

Thanks for your votes of confidence  The C1 rates scanned at 32x/40x were 0.2-0.3
