And this is on the new firmware with a Ridata DVD+R 4x. Yes, the Lite-On automatic booktype hack worked perfectly. Thanks to the folks that developed it - that is really nice. Now, assuming these all look acceptable - which I think they do as they are all well below the 280 PI mark and well below the 32 PO mark then any stuttering/skipping that may occur on a stand-alone player would either be A) Picky player that may not be recognizing the media properly or B) Software used to do the backup or other OS related issues.
Now my thoughts are that since all of these Kprobes look decent to me that my problem was Software or OS related before? I just finished watching Jaws which was backed up on one of the TDK's and it was the complete disc with menus and extras included with massive compression on the movie to make it fit. No skips at all - maybe my reformat/reinstall of Windows XP Professional was enough to fix the problem? Sorry if all of this was confusing but it was confusing me to no end - does it make sense in the direction I'm heading? If the media is checking out ok with the Kprobe on the error rates then that leaves either Software/OS problems or player compatibility left as the only obstacle, correct?
