A “value” segment it’s supposed to be, but with performance matching a 3yr old (vertex2), it’s certainly not a value proposition, but a cheap option, because the 3yr old SSDs are no longer available.

I hope it’s very cheap, or there will be very little market for these drives.

From appearances, the Sammy 840 TLC drive will be faster for most things, except heavy writing, and will likely be cheaper also.
