The question raises, since we know record labels are putting fake songs on the file swapping networks, do they also infect these networks with worms ?
This sounds like an unfounded conspiracy-theory to me…

Not really, the RIAA is pushing for legislation that would allow them to do this kind of action. They might be doing it already and just are seeking to make it perfectly legal for them :r

filter all exe/vbs files (check the box “filter files potentially containing viruses” or whatever it is called)
