Usually what they states is not what professional reviewers find with their lab tests… For instance a Samsung LCD TV rated as 10.000:1 will have a REAL contrast ratio of less than 800:1… A Panasonic PLASMA rated as 10.000:1 will barely go up to 1800:1 I’m curious, since JVC states that no ‘artificial means’ will be applied to reach this extremely high CR, to see what the lab tests will verify…

I thought the Panasonic 10,000:1 ratio translated to 3000:1.

The Pioneer plasma’s contrast ratios of 3000:1 for the 43" and 4000 for the 50" are genuine.
