JVC "New" Inkjet Media?

I recieved a newsletter today talking about JVC “New Inkjet Media”. Not quite sure the differences between this and any other TY/JVC media. It’s claimed to be water resistant and glossy, sure sounds like Water Shield. It is not the same part number as the JVC/TY cross for WS.

Anyone seen/used this?

“Made in Japan” is your best clue. That narrows it down a bit.

I understand that, it’s just that details are a bit sparce on what it is. It is a replacement for WS, or a step up from regular discs. I’ve requested some pricing, no word yet.

All TY are now named JVC and they are definaltely Ty, just look at the spindle, only TY use those.

I’m glad Ty is now JVC, maybe they become more readily available in spindles (in AUS) rather than just shrink wrapped.

I am wondering about this as well.

I bet they are Watershield discs.

There is no doubt they’re TY - the question is, this isn’t a disc that we saw under the TY flag, it’s something new, so what is it.

I hope to have the awnser next week
