I think its time HD-DVD gave up!

Let’s see. JVC vs. Sony in the VHS vs. Beta wars. JVC won. JVC and Sony on the same side in the BR vs. HD. No brainer, Blu-ray will win, in the end. HD is just a marginal step forward, BR is a much larger step forward. BR can go up to 1000 GB (?) with four layers, haven’t heard anything about multiple layers with the HD discs. Unfortunately, the determining factor will be the movie industry. That means for BR to win the day, outright, a DRM that gives the movie industry a feeling that it is hard to break will be in order. As much as none of us like DRM, I don’t see the movie or music industries supporting future formats without some kind of built-in DRM support.:frowning:
