open dvdfab, insert original dvd into drive, click main movie, select dvd-writer as target, click start, wait…, insert blank dvd-/+r, click okay, wait…, click okay and click finished.
I agree that this is not very user friendly software.
actually very simple you just need some breaking in.
I clicked on the “?”, and I skimmed it for what I want. I still can’t figure out what to do.
read the entire page on running the program.
I have one drive, burner, and DVD platinum express.
which version do you have platinum or express?
…put the drive as the source, #1, which is drive d. This it does automatically when it reads the disc in the drive. …my drive as the destination, as well.
yes this is okay. also i have one drive and this is the method i use as well.
If I change it to a file for a destination, the files wind up not being any good when it is finished, and can’t be played or burned onto the blank disc.
the files copied to your hard drive are either in video_ts folders or an iso file. which type of file you have depends on if you clicked the folder or iso button? the video_ts folder can be played with vlc media player(free), or can be burned with dvdfab using the write data on the left side under dvd to dvd.
What am I doing wrong, or missing? If I use the rom as the destination, it gives me a prompt that I don’t know what to do with.
what rom are you trying to burn with? do you mean a dvd-rom drive? you can not burn with a dvd rom drive. you will need a writer or combo rom/writer drive. do you mean a dvd-rom disc? you can not write data to a dvd-rom, only read.
