Just got it LS SE-204N

Just got it, I am currently burning some Maxell DVD-R media on it (labeled as RITEKF1 media).
Nero reports this drive as a TS-H653N (Which in google reports SH-S203N).
Going to post more later!

Hi,
Congrats to your new drive
Nero reports this drive as a TS-H653N (Which in google reports SH-S203N).
Going to post more later!
This would mean, Samsung used a SATA/USB bridge in the enclosure. Now I am really interested, what chipset is used there. Could you please run UVCView from Microsoft and post the output (the results can be saved as text file and attached here) for this device?

Michael

Sure!
Here is the output!

As I can see it is indeed a SATA enclosure!

Hi,

thanks for providing the details

idVendor: 0x13FD
idProduct: 0x2040

I would have expected something like Jmicron, but this seems to be a rather unknown manufacturer (Google reveals “Micro Science Inc” for that Vendor ID

The vendor ID you googled was a PCI vendor ID not a USB vendor ID

Even if this is outdated and not important anymore:

13fd= Initio Corporation (see)
