i already read all the FAQ for whats media to get and how to scan etc…

RPC1 firmware is if you want your 1650 drive to become region free. Region free means your drive will be able to playback dvd movies from the UK, ASIA and so forth. BCHC I believe is the latest firmware but someone can correct me if I’m wrong. Qsuite 2.1 is the latest version. If you want some info on Qsuite look for Zebadee’s signature he has a link on how to use Qsuite 2.1. Here’s his profile just click on the Qsuite manual link:

Check out www.videohelp.com for information on how to back up dvd movies.

Congratulations!

You should know.

Yes, it is.

See QSuite help, it might help you.

Yes it is very useful, you need it if you want to switch burning strategies for certain brands of DVD’s and if you want to remove rip lock.

one more question, when doing a scan on burned dvds
whats numbers i suppose to get in the PIF and PIE to have a good burn??

and can anyone explains rip lock to me?

so do u poeple suggest to enable WOPC and solid burn ( for known and unknown media ) or not?

I always have WOPC enabled, but on good (MCC or TY) media, it’s not necessary to have SB enabled.
Though it can improve your results.
