#2

Scan the original disc with something like A-Ray Scanner.

#3

i used Alcohol 120%
when i launch it up with securerom

Unable to authenticate original disc within time limit.
Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=timeout for further, more detailed information.

Retry or cancel

thats what i get

That error means your image is bad. What settings did you use to create it?

#5

i thought so
… it wouldn’t let me choose, it was a dvd
there wasn’t many options
i’ll try making a new one and see how it works out

You need to select DPM (Data Position Measurement) to create a working SecuROM image. Then you need to find out what DPM speed is best with your drive. Some people report a high speed gives better results, while others have more success at low speeds. With my drive (NEC 3520) I get best results when I select 8X for DPM.

There is a possibility that you will need to create a few images before you get a working one. But once you know what DPM speed gives you best results, you can create working images for other SecuROM protected games from the first try.
