Just a question

I have just purchased a GPs unit that came with MapCreate. I have installed this on both my desktop and laptop computers. Everytime I want to open the program on either computer, I have to insert a original cd to get the program running, then it can be removed. Will Alcohol 120 let me make a copy of one of the cd’s, so I can take it with me when I am on the road with the laptop? I have tried to copy one with Nero 6, latest updates, and Clone cd, latest updates. They say that the copy was complete but I get the message that I have to install an ORIGINAL disk. The copies do not work.

Thanks Bill

best thing to do would be download the Trial and also Aray Scanner or Protection ID scan your DIscs for the protection if any then try and make a copy with Alcohol. Once you know the protection post back here with which one it is.

This is what came up with Aray. I don’t kow if there is anything there to help you.

Thanks for the reply.

With SecuRom you will need to scan the installation directory to work out the version used.
