I have a dvd-rom & cdrw drive, and replacing the cdrw with a pioneer 108 dvd-rw, does it make any difference to which is the master & slave?
normally no it doesnt make a difference but some drivve manufacturer's to recommend setting the DVD Burner as master.
you will need to use 80 wire cables and in that case the master goes on the end and the slave in the middle
I have always used the DVD-ROM as "Master" and the Burner as "Slave" and stay away from using Cable Select-
Have always had great burns (using only good media)-
Thanks for the advice, have fitted the burner as slave and the dvd-rom as master
Glad that we could help-
