I am desperate to find a burning program that supports longer than 16 characters volume names, too.
I tried burnatonce, and came across something weird:
First I created an ISO image with a volume name longer than 16 characters with burnatonce, it worked fine with all the ISO image extension settings (ISO9660:1999, Joliet, etc) the volume id showed up in the corresponding text field with lower case letters, too, and also was changed accordingly to the settings when changed.
So I created an image with a long volume id and mounted it with Daemon Tools, the long disc name showed up correctly in the windows explorer.
Then I burned the image to a DVD with Nero: this disc had a truncated volume name.
Then I burned the image with burnatonce: and this disc had a truncated volume name, too.
Although the data mastering part of burnatonce is able to create images with longer volume ids, the burning part still truncates them back to 16 characters.
I find this really confusing.
