I have 2 wav files for a teleconference call today. The reason I have two is there was a power failure during the recording, so I had a break of a few minutes. Is there a way to put these two files together in to one wax file? Thank you.
Use can use Windows Sound Recorder to do that. Open your first WAV file and then go to Edit > Insert File and browse to your second WAV file. Then go to File > Save As… and save it and you will have a single WAV file. You can also do some minor editing in Windows Sound Recorder before you join the two files if the files don’t fit perfectly together as-is. For example, if you have a few seconds of silence at the end of the first WAV and a few seconds of silence at the beginning of the second WAV you can use Windows Sound Recorder to crop the silence out before you join them.
For more options when it comes to editing; programs like Nero Wave Editor and Cool Edit Pro are very good.
